We had a conversation in our small group a week ago about when we talked about spiritual disciplines involved in Bible study. I said that I know you’re supposed to do it in the morning, because that’s it will be more effective for you to be fed throughout the rest of the day.
However, I have always felt that I do my best work at night. In the morning, I feel like I have to shoo myself out the door to get to work, and I don’t get to spend the amount of time in God’s Word that I would like. However, I find myself getting into more trouble otherwise at night.
What surprised me is that another guy in the group said he believed the same thing, that he gets more disciplined with his Bible study if he does it at night instead of in the morning.
So, I put the question to you: are you an early bird or a night owl? The answer doesn’t necessarily have to be exclusive to Bible study.
